How To Re-Program Your Negative Self Talk

Today I am going to talk about how to rewire your mind from negative self talk. If,you want to truly transform yourself into a more positive you it starts with our self talk. We all do it, most of the time we are not even aware of just what are subconscious is telling us or how we are talking to ourselves. We have unfortunately been conditioned to negativity from the time we are born almost. Conditioned by family, media,school you name it.

Think about this for a moment. You turn on the television, how often do we hear say a commercial for example saying we need this beauty product to be younger. Or this weight loss miracle drug? Even if we are not really paying attention and it is white noise in the room your subconscious brain is hearing and processing it. Now how its processing this information is going to revert back to say when we were in school. Were we bullied or ridiculed by harsh words from other kids or even worse by adults for having a weight problem, even if you weren’t overweight? Those words were and are negative self talk, your subconscious brain remembers.So,when we hear about some miracle weight loss drug in a commercial well usually the negative self talk speaks up.

Another example— How often have we heard you are a failure or you won’t amount to anything in your life? I know I have. The kicker is WE continue to tell ourselves those same words time and time again. We will start something, never finish it because self talk turns to self-doubt!!

Now the awesome news WE CAN TURN THAT TALK AROUND!!!

By taking baby steps or crawling even because we have to learn to crawl before we can walk in most cases. Not all mind you my son actually went from scooting to walking.LOL

  1. Great post, I myself have started being more positive recently. I use to have a big problem with being negative about many things for no reason, i would literally just wake up upset about something and take it out on other people because i was unsatisfied with where i was in life, not making enough money, focusing on what i didnt have instead of what i did have. I always had a glass half empty mindset until i realized that most of the time i was the cause of my problems and that i needed to start making a change with how i think.

    • Absolutely Brian sometimes all it does take is just one change. One positive thought a day.

      It is why affirmations are so popular they are like little reminders to ourselves that we are worthy.

  2. A very good post and are very right everybody has at least one negative thought that needs to be worked on. The big thing is getting started.
